FLOCKING PLANTS FOR CAST IRON BELL INSULATORS

AIGLE has developed several flocking plants for Cast Iron Bell Insulators over the years.
The insulator is flocked at the opening to avoid friction with other material that is then expected to contact it during use. The flock is then applied precisely and uniformly.
In automatic plants, all stages take place without operator intervention: glue application, flocking, pre-cleaning, drying, cooling and final cleaning.
Only the loading and unloading of workpieces is done manually.
The workpieces are housed on special supports designed to hold bells of different sizes and dimensions. The entire plant then is set up to allow for this flexibility.
A step-by-step chain conveyor system allows for optimal development of the production process.
The glue application unit is done by means of special pads.
The flocking plant, on the other hand, is equipped with electropneumatic guns for proper flock distribution. The flocking machine is then equipped with a system for collecting and recirculating excess flock by means of manifolds connected to suction systems.
A piece storage system is then provided inside the oven to allow for adequate residence time necessary for drying.
Aigle also offers semiautomatic and manual plants.
